You pull-off a wide range of marks in your work. I enjoy the sense of depth and variety without any loss of cohesion; they feel like amalgamations rather than expolsions. I'm particularly impressed by the way you include pop-like elements without jarring against the overall abstract whole. Beautiful.

hi Daniel; there's a lot going on in these paintings. thanks for pointing me to them. I guess what I find interesting in them is how they work through that tricky problem of what happens when a material paint mark gets set against a ground that throws it into a kind of imaginary 'space' - like seeing a paint mark as if it were 'floating' rather than adhered to the surface of the canvas... are you showing these much? best JJ

Hi Daniel, Really absolute convincingly new works!!! Your light is such amazing! What s up in Chicago at the moment? Are you a little bit in contact with the local art scene? I must confess that I prefer more the shows outside of Germany :)), but such experiences are sadly very expensive. Howsoever......first of all and without fail I need a new work space here in B.
