About my artwork: i like to think i pay homage to the ridiculous, the absurd and the grotesque through my art because everything around me seems to fall into one of these categories.

The creation of each piece is an instinctive and unconstrained act of self expression and i am often at a loss to explain the source of my vision.

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

I'm not sure what deck this card is from...its not the rider waite deck - which has some incredible imagary - although it appears to have been produced around the same time. Crowely perhaps? The green lion in alchemy signifies the strength needed on the quest for the philosophers stone and the colour that base metal turns in the third stage of purification before it eventually turns into gold.

Your paintings remind me of Basquiat a lot. Love it!
