- Celeste Prize is organised by a non-profit cultural association in Italy, which has no sponsors and is entirely dependent on the goodwill and subscriptions made by artists. In return Celeste Prize distributes awards, organises a number of events, publishes catalogues, maintains an important website for artists and arts-related professionals.
Following the success of national prizes organised in Italy, the UK and Germany since 2004, we have finally been able to satisfy the many public requests to launch the first international Celeste Prize.
New Prize and Membership 2010
Finalist works are selected by a totally ‘open’ process.
Each of the 20 international selectors publishes online his or her choices for all to see.
50 finalist artists vote 40,000 € awards in New York in December - each artist has a share in the awards!
Prize participants can present works in Celeste’s 2010 chosen theme exhibitions in Berlin & New York.
Berlin, Germany: From 17 September to 18 October 2010, at the Collegium Hungaricum.
New York, USA: Autumn 2010 in collaboration with New York non-profit 'No Longer Empty’.
Projects: is a unique online space where you can initiate, develop and join contemporary arts -related projects which take place
in the real world.

CELESTE PRIZE Live Media deadline
There are 10 days left to enter a Live Media/audiovisual work in 'Celeste Prize 2009', submissions no later than 30 June.
6 Live Media sets will be invited to perform on 26 September 2009 at the Alte AEG Fabrik, the old Berlin city electricity generating plant, in Voltastrasse.
All Celeste finalists artists themselves will vote the 8,000 euro which will go to the winning Live Media set.
