If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?

I am...
b-uncut is a social network for artists around the world to meet, talk and share. No holds barred - just art!
We launched in 2007 as an online platform for quality artists around the world. We hoped to create a network for artists by artists and quickly started gathering momentum. Now hundreds of artists from the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia use b-uncut as their virtual studio. The artists are both involved with and active on b-uncut and the site attracts thousands to its pages every day. With close to 5,000 artworks on the site that means that b-uncut artists work gets in front of a lot of eyes.
Right now on b-uncut our members can gather information on the art universe, meet other artists, and get advice and support in developing their careers. The community artist based approach has proven extremely effective and sought after. Artists regularly come to b-uncut to load their work, have it peer reviewed, chat and email each other and share blogs on their perspectives on the art world in general, their challenges and the opportunities they face within it. They actively start discussions and start groups around topics that are important to them like Artist Marketing Salon, Artist Cafe. Photographers and many more at b-uncut act as a mentoring and artist partnering platform. and b-uncut artists visit each other and support each other's shows and events on a regular basis.
We artists know that the market for our work is vast and art has become considerably more accessible to the middle classes. Art is the world's most international product and requires no translation. And yet the art market is antiquated. Dealers and gallerists are choke points in the system and all too often constraints to the buyer and the artist - so to the auction houses. The internet and art fairs are beginning to disintermediate that and we hope b-uncut will become a big part of that disintermediation. There are many roads to self promotion but at b-uncut we believe that the community can offer the support and gravitas that give real power to the individual artist.
Our first big project will be the ARTIST"S DIARY. A compilation of the best work we find on b-uncut. The contributers will all be members and we hope that the diary will become and annual affair that will promote b-uncut artists in the offline world. Anyone interested in participating is welcome to join our group b-uncut.com - the artists diary.

Many thanks :) I've put my fine art work on the back burner for a while due to work commitements but hopefully next year I'll get a show happening, any ideas?! There's a small gallery in Ireland that has some of my work and I've sold a couple of pieces to clients in New York.

I don't run it, I just supply some of the info to the tweet master. In addition, we have a myspace page which is serving as a…See More
