A visual artist and I live and work in Brisbane. I am currently undertaking a mentorship with Youth Arts Queensland for the next few months, working alongside a recognised and established visual artist. I work using a variety of media including drawing, painting, soft sculpture and digital photography.
I completed a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2005 and I have exhibited regularly over the last 3 years, including solo and group exhibitions. I am currently working on developing a new body of work, focussing on both drawing and painting on paper as well as large scale soft sculpture installations.
About my artwork
My artwork explores the subconscious, I work spontaneously and intuitively to convey emotion and mental states. I often use animal/human hybrid forms to suggest different psychological states. The body is strange yet familiar, revealing the unknown or hidden aspects of the human mind.
Artists I like
Marlene Dumas, Annette Messager, Francesco Clemente, Henri Michaux, Ernesto Neto, Mona Hartoum, Claude Cahun, Max Ernst, Jean Dubuffet, Adolf wolfi, Jean Tripier, Mona Ryder, Jenny Watson, Judy Watson, Emily Kame Kngwarraye

Your work is very interesting; great imageries!
Your watercolors show a genuine involvement with the medium. Good work. I'm guessing you're into theriomorphic gods of people out side of the modern tradition. I'm a big fan of the Haida people in the Pacific Northwest of North America.
