My Hyperrealism of 1980-s
There was a large exhibition of contemporary art from Germany in 1983 in Moscow. It involved enormous large canvases by leading artists: Richter, Lupertz, Kiefer. For me, much to the show was totally new, since I lived in a closed communist society, and had no opportunity to go abroad to get acquainted with the works of contemporary art in museums and exhibitions. The impression of this show resulted in a series of my paintings and graphic works created with the use of photographic sources.
