I am...: En la labor de crear belleza la optima del artista es " Ocultarse a si mismo y revelar el arte".El espectador será el que dara el último, a veces, grotesco o exquisito detalle para que la obra sea por fin finalizada. Por ende las opciones sobre la obra pueden ser diversas: en el plano universal e infinito del arte, estas opciones no afectan la obra ya que toda infinitud no puede ser fragmentada en lapsos, por eso no puede ser sentenciada:ose la caracteristica de la inmaculizacion
En el plano concreto la obra cuenta con la sublime caracteristica de lo dual, en su masprofundo o superficial simbolismo. De este modo la obra queda a igual distancia de las manos del autor y del espectador. Deja de formar parte de la espiritualidad masiva " la obra termina siendo un espejo eterno y flexible, una espiritual rareza

We would like to invite you to this year’s art exhibition, Boricua en la Luna, part of BORIMIX: Puerto Rico Fest 2008 on Friday, November 14th at 6pm. Curator, Miguel Trelles, and Guest Curator, Anabelle Rodriguez, have created a one of a kind group exhibition by inviting a group of visual artists to riff on Juan Antonio Corretjer’s well known poem, Boricua en la luna . This conceptual framework has led the selected visual artists to elaborate their own visual affirmation/negation/open ended response/reaction to Corretjer’s literary masterpiece.

This night will also serve as the opening reception and awards ceremony of BORIMIX: Puerto Rico Fest 2008.

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.
