- If you like it - then that's good. It reflects my feelings on what I see and encounter.

- Simple - The ones that make art that I like. Sounds flipant, but what other reason is there? I'm not interested in where someone trained, what qualifications they have, who else likes it, how long they've been doing it, or what exhibitions they have been involved in - it's what part of themselves they put into their work and what they have created which is important. I like a lot of art on this site.

- Other than art: Comedy. Music. Football. Nature. Slapping stuff on canvas - sometimes it's paint!!.

Just to say thank you for your positive comment on Backbone01. May I likewise compliment you on your work too. I loved the poppies in particular, but also enjoyed the trees, and the powerful face, with part skull. All very emotive, and strong.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.
Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.
