I am...
Valter Boj was born in Sardinia. Since a child shows the symptoms of "drawing and painting disease". Albissola, city of ceramics of art with a great history tied to artists of the caliber of Fontana, Jorn, Lam, Fabbri, Elde, Sebastian Matta, Capogrossi etc., has represented for Boj the opportunity of inclusion from still youngest in the world of art "real". Still a boy, ten years old, he played with the clay in the study of Mario Anselmo, where there is a trained person technically addition to a great artist. Other stage are the ceramics flax big and begin the first important meetings. This was the period in which the artist Adriano mouth frequented together to Edoardo arrojo, Mondino and other artists the shop. A great opportunity to be able to see Valter Boj work these Masters and assist them.
The Bottega flax is being acquired by Sandro Soravia and Boj decided to move to work by Giuseppe Mazzotti, where was unfortunately a marginal role that is not allowed to learn what would have wished. 1973 new transfer to the ceramics San Giorgio di Poggio and saline finally located in Poggi his master of lathe, and in saline a person of great sensitivity and humanity.
This study, Gotha ceramic art, with artists such as vifredo Lam, ansger Jorn, form Fabbri, Emilio Tadini, Mario Rossello, Gianni Dova and many others, is the perfect place for young Valter Boj, a real Academy where learning on the field everything that could be learned. From that moment it begins to create its figurative works.
In 1976 are given the keys of a small laboratory study, where to go after hours of work to the ceramics San Giorgio, a well-known entrepreneur Savonese, close friend of Antonio Sabatelli and then for about two years, almost every evening Boj has a relationship of work and staff with this artist.
to the top of the 1980s Valter Boj leaves Albissola. Works in France, to claims, it should be around for Europe to see exhibitions and starts the production of works conceptual figurative symbolic post.
In 1989 back to Albissola, opens a studio Laboratory, where in addition to its work of artist are made of ceramics with his artist friends. "Art and ceramics in the experience of the laboratories of Albissola of Valter Boj and his laboratory" is the title of the thesis discussed at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera by Cristina Bonfanti, rapporteur Prof. by Claudio.
About my artwork
Continue the exhibitions throughout Italy and abroad. 1993 the works of Boj are still linked to a post material generally informal, when it starts a new way to a work entitled "of that color is your heaven", for need of the title this framework has been executed with blue oxides. and is a turning point of his work, the falling for this color, designed as sea, the sky, sensitivity, Mediterranean side etc. Defines a conceptual post naturalist, see the project "Art

For the love of Albissola and ceramics in 1995 Boj invites his friends to come to work for an exhibition, which will then realized the gallery Orti Sauli of Genoa, "the return of Albissola", catalogue edited by Luciano Caprile, where are exposed works on paper and ceramic ceccobelli Bruno, Giacinto CERONE, Tommaso Cascella, Enzo Esposito, Valter Boj, Nino Longobardi, Paul jachetti, Giampiero Reverberi.

The same view is moved the following years the fortress of Priamar in Savona, at Viterbo with the miralli Gallery and Bologna Art Fair. By the same year the works of Boj are permanently to the gallery San Carlo in Milan.
