I'm just sure that I  finished a painting when it comes out of my way. So sometimes I feel like adding something when they are already exposed. what I do then? I remove them my vision. Mainly my paintings have several plans, several…

If you do over step the mark, and begin to destroy your painting, make sure you destroy  it well!

Architectural Impressions

The following notes accompany a collection of oil paintings on paper reflecting my continuous attempt to understand an Organic Form in the Built Environment.

The aesthetic quality of an organic form is directly determined by its inherent metaphor and appeals both to understanding and emotional perception. The extent of such understanding is determined by the extent to which we are open to a new metaphor and ready to link an organic form and existing understanding of the language… Continue

I laughed out loud when I read your response! Your kindness has made my day. :-) And what a boost to both of our egos that my preference was for your new work! My best teacher once told me, in response to starting, "just start painting fast and furiously" That's what I do now. It works great! I make lots of mistakes from which to learn, and I don't waste a lot of time "angsting" over how to begin. There are also so many fabulous accidents that occur and I embrace. It seems that most of the paintings are made up of accidental marks.

Valery, I can't tell you how much I appreciated your discussion thread and also appreciate your comment to me both private and on the thread. Thank you. I think your statement regarding your own art is so elegant. And I love the mark-making/brushwork in the 2 paintings of the men with their hands to their ear/s, the painting preceding them and the one of the boys just following them. I'm astonished by your ability to render fabric. I enjoy your content-driven work! It's very smart.

I wondered about one line in your statement:
"It appears, an organic form has a potential of transforming any closed space into a living entity that continually gives part of its vital energy to the people who use it. In contrast to that, a non-organic form, for example, - the one based on a rectangular shape, - dramatically reduces the amount of this vital energy."

I wonder why you assert, with what theological proof you say so assuredly, that the non-organic form dramatically reduces the amount of vital energy? You may be correct, but I didn't see that this conclusion was the logical one in contrasting the first part of the paragraph. It got me thinking, "maybe yes, maybe no." Wonder if you would have interest in elaborating?

Kind Regards,
Kate Vrijmoet

And thankyou to you too, Valery ..
The work of a painter like yourself is masterly, grand ..
"Image" work and digital photography like mine belong to a different (minor) register .. I would say

The Problem of Health Care

At last! A layman's guide to the Government's healthcare reforms, explaining them in terms so simple they might have been written by a complete idiot, and charting the development of health care from the good old days to the present and beyond - with hilarious results! In fabulous stickman-o-vision, with bits of colour.…See More
