If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?

I am...
a german artist from the south-german town Karlsruhe.
I currently study there at the Academy of Fine Arts ( AdbK Karlsruhe).
About my artwork
I put myself in the centre of my artwork.
My person is the basement for development.I am the model for the painting, I am the actor of a scene, I am a figure of the future or of the past.
I always try to extend my inner boundaries- to see what a single person can be capable of.

With the act of disguising and acting I want that my works communicate with the viewer. To let him/her the possibility to develop his/her very own story.

I dont concentrate all the time at one medium. In order to express my world I am interested in different directions: painting, photography, performance, music and video. My thought of a synthesis is essential - especially in todays artworld.
Artists I like
Peter Doig, Daniel Richter, Neo Rauch, Otto Dix,Cindy Sherman, Boris Mikhailov, Araki, Jeff Wall, Silvia Bächli, Gustav Kluge, Cornelia Schleime, Jonathan Meese, Martin Eder, Wolfgang Tillmanns, Markus Lüpertz, Baselitz....

Hi Vale,
Good to hear from you. Yes the year has been quiet productive, I am about to complete my honours work, i have really pushed myself to change and refine my visual style. I will post them once its finished in seven weeks time. I checked out your new works, they are really emotive and expressive. Reminds me of goya paintings. Yeah I use a lot self-portraiture to express my own identity and in the process, discover something I have in common with other people. So yeah its more about finding similarities, differences and connections with people through better understanding of oneself, not a magic shaman ritual but the that idea is very interesting though. Art can certainly make a difference, it allows the 'other' and the 'unseen' to be viewed in another context other than in the media. Are you working on a new body of work at the moment?
