- Work with 8mm, 35mm and Video and explores the juxtaposition of elements - man and nature, curiosness and knowledge, fact and fiction and wonder / imagination. The interaction between artwork and viewer. Also looks at the spaces and conditions of cinema, theatre and the conventions of the gallery - essentially ordinary places that deal with imagination and magic.

New Video Installation 'Little Trespass' appearing at launch of MART, 9-11th May Galway
exhibition of 'Little Trespass', a new video piece by Tristan Hutchinson, this weekend (9-11th of May) at the launch of artist collective MART in Galway, Ireland. Projected large scale on to the wall in a highly darkened space, ‘Little Trespass’ features a single shot of a blue-lit window, seemingly hovering on its own surrounded by an unknown black void. Well I'm still in Nottingham, and it's all pretty good here - well, swings and roundabouts. I'm having fun at any rate - bags to do, and after 25 years or so people finally seem to like what I'm doing these days. Mind you, I think I might as well chuck the previous 20 years work in a skip!
There are a few artists from Nottingham on ArtReview - some I'm sure you'll know. Check out the Nottingham Artists Group, and also the Goldfactory spin off from this network.
