Catching up - keeping up with changes!

HI Mike, thanks for the comments, I'm trying to get all my online activity organised. I run a group on Facebook for artists representing themselves A.R.T. to be honest it runs itself and everyone is friendly from keen amateurs to ' died in the wool ' professionals. Keeping up is not easy! Tony :) I'll post a couple of tweets. TonySee More

At least you read them.

Would you wish me to explain further, should I need to?

Perhaps, I believe art can take all shapes and forms and basically it resides in the mind. Bad spelling., intrigue, stuff asking a question to a viewer is all but part of that process. Many can ' curate' and give reams and reams of paper on how a thing was done, the idiom and intent  of the piece.....blah, blah, Sure but sometimes behind all that boring bolloxs no matter how well researched of intended the person writing those words usually misses the point, though may be not the impact.

Words and meanings change with usage and abbreviation and general more common abuse of slang, dialect and even more so these days, media and advertising - so for me to say what I say my interests are is the minimal I can do for impact.

let's face it nobody is really intersted in your beliefs until you reach the dizzy heights where someone  pre-prepares an obituary for you, hopefully when your quite old. LOL.

:)

Dear Tony : as you know in dOUBLE nOTHING we don't exactly know who member did this or that action, or artpiece, or intervention.

Referred to your question, maybe Art It be less than a cry for attention.

Actually icon is (in this case, a sum of words).

Best wishes for you too

I'll put this out there - are there 'different' quantifications of Artists? If you call yourself an Artist you will be one, I contend no matter what others think. Let's accept that premise but expand it and ask, what is their worth? Some really get screwed up about this, I have found. Is it about sales and ' proof of sales'  or is it all about who benefits from thier work and who can see profit in that work...do the likes of Dali exist irrespective of external influence or becuase of it...I'm not wishing to get into another art History/Socialogical debate but just ask - if jo bloggs down the road ' does' art and he then becomes noticed by more than shall we say is normal, is he his own potential or he is something to be moulded by others in order to have any potential ( not a word I like ). In other words can 'some' artists be recognised only as providers of commodities and others 'quantified' as to value, worth not by their peers but by those who would 'elevate' them or ' restrict' them for other reasons....

I cannot believe it's been two years almost to the day.........Well I had a good look at myself, carrying lot of baggage but I suppose that makes us what we are...chuck in a bit of delayed grief to deal with and other not so nice family matters and then stop drinking alchol entirely without the aid of a 12 step programme and you end up producing art which is personal, developes very fast and makes it's own statement. Not everbody's taste I'm sure. In fact this whole idea of blogging and self - agrandisement or ' opening of the soul' is somewhat alien to my nature...but to find no one cares, I can live with - to find others think you have different motives, as if they could read your mind....well that is old behaviour I thought I'd escaped. You can change youself, deal with your demons but the others you may deal with still have thiers. We could get all religous, metaphysical, even dicuss psychology, ethics and philosophy but when two or more ' entities' or carbon based lifeorms hold or have diametrically oppossed beliefs, especially about the actions of the other then it  is as it is.

Anyway......
