If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Conceptual, Painting, Sculpture
I am...
Painting monumental pieces on Tyvek, and casting/fabricating conceptual representational sculpture in aluminum.
About my artwork
Acrylic on Tyvek, I like to play with scale to morph perception, or the idea of perception, of a tangible every day object. Things that are familiar to us, though at the same time distant and alien, unexplained or perhaps just unintelligible.. come to be seen in a new light, sometimes via an abstracted and ambiguous distance to the object.. complication through simplification.
Fabricated or cast aluminum, bringing every day commercial industrial containers out of the peripheral and into the frontal vision. An emphasis on proportion and geometry/architecture through a play on scale.. Attainability through simplification and physical shrinkage; the useful physical space made much, much greater.. mentally and emotionally.
Artists I like
John Boyce, William Kentridge, Jaume Plensa, Olafur Elliason, Jack Slentz, David Linn, Dan Christensen, Chris Crites, Josh Keyes, Tom Sachs, Tom Joyce, Ed Ruscha, James Rosenquist, Roy Lichtenstein, Hopper and Hockney, Mark Di Suvero.

I work as a free artist with the experience of more than 25 years, to develop art and design solutions for real estate, landscape, interieurs. I have many-sided interests. Art, philosophy, literature, religion, music, language, policy, life, nature. I am in search of contacts they positively change my life.
Hi Tim! I guess we've both been swamped lately. I hope things are going well with you and your art. Looking forward to seeing you in October if you're around Turner Carroll. And thanks for the kind words, my friend.
