About my artwork
Process plays an important role in my art. I collect and recycle the components that form the work. I combine mechanical and fabricated devices with objects produced by the natural environment. I have always been fascinated by the way machines work. Understanding mechanical capabilities and how tools function has an impact on how I handle my materials. Blending detritus seamlessly with hand - crafted and machined elements creates a visual narrative. In this work the object is a union of man made versus nature.
Artists I like
Martin Puryear, Mark Di Suvero, David Smith, Richard Deacon, James Turrell
