I am...: the person who never went to school,
and never did like school,
and all the rules,
so broke them and insisted I teach myself,
on all subjects that I thought should help!

About my artwork: Shaun Stamp studied sculpture at CSAD UK and has redefined the word 'Oil Painting' by obsessively using 'Pre-used Engine Oil' as an agent for kinetic paintings and performances. The works combine and instigate both sculpture and painting by fusing the two traditional and historical practices as a 'One-Off' installation process. When one of Stamps 'one-off' processes are completed they are separated into different purposes; either to be preserved as sculptures or paintings.

His 'Oil Paintings' will still be processing after the deconstruction of an installation - the paintings are kinetic that move gradually across the canvas, amalgamating with the new material in which the oil contacts and disperses to show different stages of progression; like a fossil or tree that shows the history of its' age.

Highlighting 'industrialism and constructivism' the artist also creates artworks within mixed medias although usually working within his signature medium of 'Pre-Used Automotive Oil'.
