- A visual artist that believes in creating art work that encourages people to question what they see and to use their imagination for what could be. I believe that the arts should be accessible to all- I hate the idea that there are people who are inhibited by formal art spaces and by the art world in general. Deciding to play a small part in counteracting this, I created an online art space, We Are All Artists (www.weareallartists.co.uk).
- About my artwork
- I began my career by exploring everyday life through black and white photography, as can be seen in my documentary style imagery. What has developed is a photographic style of a story telling nature, creating subtle and evocative scenescapes, allowing the observer to be transported to moments part of their own time, space and memory. Continuing my exploration into journey, iconic imagery and memory, I also use 35mm and Polaroid SX-70 films, as well as print press and hand painting techniques to intimately capture subjects.
