If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Painting, Sculpture
I am...
My first paintings date back to 1970. My first important exhibition wos in Linburg (Germany) in 1979 at the Byron house. Following years were distincted by a continous expressive research. In 1996 I founded with other painters of Follonica "the Golfo del Sole"association, and remained member of it untill 2002. From 1999 to 2002 I held courses for children to approach painting and worked with maternal, primary and secondary schools of my city.
About my artwork
After years of figurative painting and in conseguences of philosophy approaches, I have reflected a lot on wath I wonted to rapresent and how I wonted to rapresent it : it is to rapresent, through painting and sculpture, what we do not see, like a feeling, an emotion, a desire, a social condition, all of this through shapes and colours that interpret my thought.
A paint, a picture, a sclpture have to "speak".
The birth of a work is long and it's difficult to tell how raises, it certainly constructs itself in the mind and it's a logicalconseguence of a philosophy, of will-power, of a meditation. "PAINT IS A LIFE PHILOSOPHY AND COLOUR IS ITS LIGHT. ART IS FREEDOM : FREEDOM OF IDEAS, OF RAPRESENTATION AND EXPRESSION."
