About my artwork

Highlight of 2009 was exhibiting at the Biennale Internazionale Dell"Arte Contemporanea (Florence Biennale) in December 2009 . Met alot of wonderful artists and just loved Florence!

Artists I like

From the Renaissance Botticelli & Titian. International artists Joan Miro, Antonio Tapies, Robert Motherwell, Clyfford Still, Willem De Kooning, Amedeo Modigliani immediately come to mind. Numerous Australian artists Elwyn (Jack) Lynn, Minnie Pwerle, Brett Whiteley, John Olsen, Robert Juniper etc.

Interests

Music, travel, wine, food and of course art. When combining all of these then I am at my happiest particularly if I am In Italy or Spain.

What exhibitions are good at the moment?

"CONTEMPORANEA" - new exciting exhibition 7 -19 October 2010 featuring the Australian Florence Biennale Group at Smart Artz Gallery, Melbourne. 33 artists. 11 Medici medals. The show will then travel to the Aarwun Gallery, Canberra from 23 October to 6 Novemember 2010. Three new paintings by Peter Bastaja will be included.
