- About my artwork
- My photografic process has begun in 2005. From the very beginning I have developed a prominent tendency towards expressive and conceptual research, through which I have explored individual and collective aspects of contemporary society.
Non-conventional iconic landings elaborated with a style that goes beyond photography, through which one perceives something that passes over the visible, penetrates the subconscious, among metaphores, symbols and messages.
I am inspired by the necessity of giving back as new a universe that was thought as being known, creating multiples and photografic sequences, in which the sign, free to narrate and be, dynamic, plural and expressive, dominates and fluctuates harmoniously, almost with music.
A mosaic rich of unique and particular sensations, where chromatisms and stylizations act harmoniously with each other. Notes on an original itinery composed by intriguing graphical stylizations, connoted by a high sign projecting and innervated by peculiar graphic stylizations and denotive references between the unreal and the fantastic. Graduated tables, both singularly and combined together, able to release power, energy, vital impulse.
A poetry then anywhere based on fragments that does not want to document through photography but propose new conditions which induce people to observe and act with greater mental surge. In this respect I feel close to me the thought of Paul Cezanne, that claimed he wanted to seize a reality without finding it already made, but by creating it within himself.
Dynamism, so beloved to futurism, and the obsessive multiplication of geometries and disrupted lines, basic matrix of cubism, dissolve in my photographs, forming caledioscopic visions. The “Three Dimensional”, real and proper photographic installments, elevate photography to a three-dimensional artistic form, proposing to the viewer different possible views, leaving more backlash to space.
I tend to go beyond the observed objects, through both research and language. After having detected them, I elect them as symbols, I impersonate them, investing them with subjectiveness and placing them in an ambit of an invisible scheme of relational and interactive linkings, within and among different perspective levels.
According to E. Fromm, the only thing that can appease within men the inquietude generated by the consciousness of their contraddictions and emancipate them from their bounds so not to let them sink in the bondage of irrational passions is to go through the road of individualisation, the process that brings the subject to the awareness of a vital originality linked to the heritage of ideas and feelings common to all mankind. I am in fact convinced that men must meditate more deeply on their own identity in order to re-establish the original pact that links us one another. To the representation of the human being I prefer the display of his products voluntarily endowed with a sort of zero-grade from which one can rebuild crossways a parallel level where imagination and reason meet, releasing creativity. In my works the human figure appears seldomly and in a veiled way. However it constitues the “Who”, that is the unleashing subject of a process of global importance, that, nevertheless, does not have to necessarily be exposed as a definite figure. If represented in an anonimous form, the individual takes on a more universal meaning, reaching ideal spheres. In this way I aim at reshuffling the collective frame allowing more freedom to the thinking, like that letting it not to be influenced by cultural ostracism.
