Sun Gone Down

Paint drips when it's wet

rivers of memories

sunsets are often out of sight

just lost reminders

the soft reflection across the pipeline,

the reasons we work

on the sidescaped plain

is better than the alternative

to sit and wait,

surf was up

the sun gone down

the line across the distance

is flat and clean

like the draftsman's horizon,

one step above the tree line

two blocks from the local bar

a far cry from the… Continue

Indoor Plumbing

Often one has an interest in indoor plumbing

drains and pipes

and what nots under the sink,

like where does it all really go

the water

to the sea

the oceanside

to a landscaped retreat

I used to have mice in my studio

they left traces of their life in my building

and they were holding up

under my kitchen sink,

One day I showed them the hills of Berkeley

and they are now at play

like all mice should be

seeking… Continue

Red Foley

Riding in the sky

on the dangling string of life

the letdown was minor

as she brought drinks

in short glasses

but then she said

I just don't want to talk to tonight

that put a chill on the ceremony

someone said "cool in Italy"

I've seen cool before in Torino

I saw cool

take a guy

sliding down the street

on his knees

illuminated in the night

by his sparkling splintering motorcycle

keeping pace with… Continue

Go Ask Alice

She was like the fire

searing moments of electricity

carried in her purse

notes of the underground

writing scribbles in between the pages,

she knew the names of everyone she ever met

making small paintings on paper

swirling kaleidoscopes of thought and passion

the day always came when she left,

she took her heart on the road

met strangers

left donations

sat quietly on park benches

watching the days go slowly by,

very late in… Continue

hi mark,
thanks for the add and the comment.
the exquisite corpse video project is a collaboration project born here in artreview, with members of the group Video Artists I created.
it's being really fun to work like that! of course we had to adapt the surrealists' idea to make it work with video. lots of fun!
cheers,
kika
