I am...: An artist + filmmaker with a strong impulse to transcend the frame's boundary involving space as part of the narrative, expanding time and turning the viewer into an explorer. My time-based installations use phosphorescent screens, mirrors, alternate soundtracks and all possible means to subvert the automatism of perception and high-light conceptual short-circuits in the logic of the western mind. I've been researching emotional codes to address to the person as a whole.
Always interested into illusion, sudden changes of perspective unveiling hidden dynamics I'm experimenting with video projections, lenticular prints and immersive sculptures using cymatics, lights and shadows.

About my artwork: My work explores the fluid unconscious world of feelings. Freedom, man, woman, love, vision. The making of perception. The shifting nature of our emotional fields and the conceptual automatism in the making of thought we absorb from the culture. I am interested in the way we function on a subtle level.

Through time-based immersive installations using projections, space is used as a tool unfolding narrative. Beyond the tradition of containing the projected flux into the screen’s frame, space itself (as surface and matter) becomes the support shaping the images’ evanescent nature. And, vice versa, it is invested, modeled and radically transformed by the images. Somehow echoing the mysterious relation between the body and soul.

That love it/ loathe it sensation was exactly what I wanted. A bite like life -verisimilitudinous. A lot like life - very verisimilitudinous!
