If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Installation, Photography, Sculpture
I am...
a recent fine art graduate who makes miniature universes using materials associated with childhood and an infant curiousity.
About my artwork
The concept of childhood and the adult need to protect it has always been the foundation of my work. Adolescence is often romanticised, viewed with nostalgic lenses as an innocent and magical realm that as adults we can no longer access or enjoy. In my creative practice I aim to explore a real and fictional portrayal of childhood, exposing the sentimental and the brutal.
Artists I like
Grayson Perry, Loretta Lux, Louise Bourgeois, Mark Dion, Matthew Barney, Tessa Farmer, Sophie Calle and many others.
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller at The Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh
