- 47 years old, working in a London Borough High School within the The Arts faculty and I am Assistant to Arts College within our specialist status. I also look after our Art events, all school publications, the news and the web site. I was involved with 'COLOUR EXPRESS' art workshops for young people delivering an opportunity for self expression in art. I am married with 3 grown up children. I paint, draw, take photographs and digitise.
- About my artwork
- I enjoy colour, great contrasts in tone, lines, movement and the flow of the camera shutter, pencil, brush, mouse and keyboard. My passion leans towards the abstraction of all natural forms, concentrating on 'digitised growth' and studies relating to that. I am particularly enamoured in the shapes and symbols that can be found in the entangled twines of branching twigs, leaf lines, and all things natural and stringy in consistency, including seaweed, cabbage, and human hair etc. I see and feel connections in everything and try to show others my perception of these. I have a great affinity with trees, grasses, flowers, weeds and people. I have taken thousands of photographs of various subjects relating to this, mainly the green and growing kind as well as faces. Amongst this, I also have a collection of photographs that I took for one year, that were all taken out of one small window from my bedroom, mainly of roofs and birds. I did not paint for that whole year as I was taking time out for reflection and recovery from an illness. My wet medium artwork is usually acrylics, emulsions, or oils on canvas or wood, and is best described as expressed abstract. I am also interested in painting compositions incorporating symbols and icons of all kinds and their connections, meanings and histories. My latest photography is about the movement and meaning of lights on journeys in the way they symbolise a familar sign for the feeling of travelling towards an eventual safe, static home location. - I like any artists that are expressive and colourful, and ones where you can see that they enjoy creating their work in an energetic and positive way.

- I was born in the sixties in HARROW NORTH WEST LONDON UK. I am a member of what I call the 'middle youth' culture here in the U.K. Which means life is primarily fun. I have an interest in singing, chatting, and socialising.

just thought i would send you a note and tell you that something wierd hapened to me last weekend..
I HAD AN EPILEPTIC SEIZURE!!!
i am still coming to terms with this as i dont remember any of it..i had an ambulance to hillingdon hopsital and have to say they were very good there -
my father has had fits when he was a child up to 16 and again when he was 70..he is now on medication, the very nature of these seizures makes you… Continue

- i have decided upon a new 'ism' for the art world.. i have called it 'undigitalism'..
in other words take photo of something...that something maybe a painting/drawing you have done or from life..
then digitise it on the computer, 'artisise' it using whatever means... then recreate again back unto canvas using your digitised image as a guideline..
so 2 new words for the art world invented by me!!
'undigitalism' and 'artisise'..
