About my artwork
Throughout all of my work I try to bring a serious issue or issues through the work by the materials and ideas, which I decide to use. I use text, colour
and photography to not only to add character to a
piece but also because I find these methods interesting in the way they can change or add to my art work, and in someway get the message across to the viewers. I enjoy using photography as the way in which a picture is taken can
completely change the subject within the photograph. Text influences me in a similar way by just reading particular words can give an insight to new pieces of work, or even to help expand present ideas that I'll be working on. I tend to use angel imagery as it intrigues me, not from a religious aspect but
as angels are also seen as mysterious, fantasy based creatures, and I find that an interesting subject to work with.
Artists I like
Dave McKean, Robert Rauschenberg, Barbara Kruger, Mike Bohatch, among others.
Interests
music, art, music gigs, seeing mates.
