About my artwork
My latest series of oil paintings on canvas depicts a search for understanding place and documenting perceptions of self through portraiture. In order to make sense of experience, we constantly reflect on, order, and categorize our immediate memories. I often perceive the passing of time as a cinematic display of sights, sounds, and abstract symbols in constant motion. My paintings aim to capture the essence of this perception while pressing pause on the formative stages of comprehension.
'Turn turtle, turn turtle and sing, and weeptoo when the rose window of chathedrals, that rose window that is not as beautiful asmine, asks you to, and I will capture your yellow rays, your extravagantly yellow rays in the plaster.'See More
