I am...: A 59 year old man who enjoys expressing myself through oil paint, bronze sculpture..(when I can afford it) and gilding my own frames.....

About my artwork: My work has been called "old master style" I guess that is because I taught myself to paint from those wonderful people. I generally paint people, some animal subjects, and rarely paint landscapes or still life paitings.

Artists I like: Odd Nerdrum, Salvidor Dali, Rembrandt, Agust Rodin, Michaelangelo, the old greek sculputors...anyone who is fluent in any kind of representational art who does it well.

I am not a plagerist and this truly was an unfortunate accident that I will correct when I figure out how to delete the wrong works...if anyone knows how to do such, please contact me as soon as you can...I feel like a total idiot....

I thought I'd left you a message a few days ago but probably forgot to press"SEND". You weren't political at all and I wouldn't mind had you been so. Most of my American friends are overjoyed at the Change that you have brought about in your government and from the outside I'd say rightly so. A good thing happened and it happened with gusto. As Americans, I'd say you have every right to be proud. Now we just wait for the bullet.
Fret not, we're fine.

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.
