If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Drawing, Painting
I am...
a French painter, emerging and trying to give through my paintings a little haven in a rash world
About my artwork
i have been said to be an expressionnist, even fantastic expressionnist, some said figuration narrative, some said outsider, they haven't got a clue maybe, i am trying to let the subconscious speak out for itself, and mix images of the common ground of humanity with characters in association, in movement, or relationship, i am arrogant enough to try to perpetuate a "philosophical " tradition in the field of art. Oh yes , and there's a lot of colours, and i like it to be "alive "
Artists I like
hundertwasser - Klimt -Schiele- Van Eyck - Masson - Pollock- Gauguin - Rembrandt - among the ancients, and many many others, in fact i love artists, oh i can't forget Dubuffet and Klee
Interests
painting obviously, life in general and how to make it a lovely place, anything boring from politics to philosophy, humour, looking after my daughter too
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
The pOLLOCK AND SHAMANISM EXHIBITION IN pARIS JUST FINISHED? IT WAS EXCELLENT APART FROM THat i also organize exhibits in my hometown , north east of france, in liverdun, and the next one is Jean Chanoir and tarek, from the 6th of March to the 15th of March.

Thanks for your reply Jeff! i can definitely see how you twist and 'crash' reality in the Material World piece! Perhaps because it is the best seen on a computer screen, which lacks texture. Perhaps because I love to see ugly things (material world) portrayed with beauty! It feels as if you feel the seduction of them too, and are not merely dismissing them.
all the best
