- In 1990, I along with a group of four other artists, formed Fine Rats International, to exploit the need for artist-lead initiatives - the result was a dynamic exploration of site-specific locations on a scale never before seen in the United Kingdom. My work developed through this experience in scale and ambition, with the introduction of multi-media elements such as video, light, sound and kinetics, providing a dynamic force within my sculpture and installations.
Exhibitions and residencies Internationally including ‘Life/Live’ at both the Centro de Exposiçodes / Centro Cultural de Belem, Lisbon, Portugal and the Musee d’art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, France, ‘All or Nothing’ at the Galerie de la Friche Belle de Mai, Marseille, ‘Bull’ première at the Musee de Marseille and ‘Breathing Space’ at Artspace, Sydney, Australia and the UK including shows at BoBo's Gallery, London, Huddersfield Museum and Art Gallery, Walsall Museum and Art Gallery, in the late 1990’s. At the beginning of 2001 I was awarded the Henry Moore Fellowship in Sculpture at the University of Derby, where I producing a series of video and sculptural artworks in the UK and abroad during a two-year period.
I now work predominately abroad on exhibitions and residencies, which include ‘toe the line…’ MAMÜ Gallery, Budapest, ‘Túlsó P’art retrospective’ Miskolc, Hungary, ‘Window Shopping’ El Huis Experimental Intermedia, Gent, Belgium, ‘Embodying the Scenery of Ecology’ Juming Museum, Taiwan, ‘The Good, the Bad & the Ugly’ at Ashish Balram Nagpal Galleries Mumbai, India.
I have in recent years worked alongside Indian artist Chintan Upadhyay on developing an international profile for Sandarbh Residency Programme. Continuing to reinforce a robust Sandarbh residency programme in Rajasthan, India, we have begun to develop project globally including Sandarbh US in Georgia, USA in 2008 and Sandarbh UK in Derbyshire, UK in 2009.
Recent British exhibitions include ‘Living Proof’ at Bewick Court Towerblock, Newcastle, I HOME @ Q ARTS at Q Gallery, Derby, ‘The World is a Safer Place’ Globe Gallery, Newcastle, ‘underpin’ at the Rest Gardens, Nottingham City Centre, ‘Penny Black’ and ‘TENSION’ at The Gooden Gallery, London.

- Yes - certainly common ground with Dave T - I can't remember which residency group he was talking about in India, but I know he's very interested in working with Indian artists, and has brouht several over to work and show at NAE - he introduced an Indian film maker to me a few weeks ago working on a project here.

Your Indian activities sound interesting - I'd love to hear more about them - have you talked to Dave Thomas at the New Art Exchange here in Nottingham? Dave is a regular traveller to India in his role as senior curator at NAE, and he's spoken of residency activities there.
