If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Painting
I am...
Currently studying for a degree in Fine Art at University College Falmouth. I am in my second year, and I have just finished my first solo exhibition at a local gallery.
About my artwork
I have an enduring fascination with people. From a young age I have been obsessed with faces and their many complexities and differences. I paint faces of people I know, focusing on their little mannerisms that make them unique.
I work quickly using oils mixed with stand oil to give the paintings energy and texture.
Artists I like
At the moment I'm obsessed with Lisa Yuskavage, I find her small paintings incredibly complex and moorish. I also think Elizabeth Peyton's work refreshingly subtle.

Thanks for your comment. I looked up that Painting of Modern Life show. That would have been a great one to see.
