- About my artwork
- My present work is figurative and is mostly in oils on canvas.
I am currently pre-occupied with the sea and water, especially its interaction with the human figure. I also love the vivid contrasts of colour which are in evidence in sunnier climes - anyone from Ireland is usually forced to go abroad in order feed this visual hunger-we are sun starved!

- My favourite artist of all time is the American, Edward Hopper. I also love both Andrew and Jamie Wyeth. Other favourites include Caravaggio, Velasquez, Georges de la Tour and Wright of Derby.

good luck with the BP Portrait entry. i have never tried that one.... I have tried the RA Summer show, but never got anywhere. Keep trying eh! Sales have been on a big go slow recently. I have been teaching more to supplement sales, but would rather have more from sales. Maybe chance to work up some new ideas ready for the good times!!!!
