- Formverk is a non-profit, artist run exhibition place, an area for cultural events and a project room, established 2004.
The purpose is to show national and international contemporary art and to realize artistic exchange and cooperation.
Formverk allows experimentation in collaboration with artists and public.
Our purpose is to realize ideas, develop dialogues and having fun!
Formverk is situated in Eskilstuna, 110 km west of Stockholm, and is organised as an association. The artists and curators behind Formverk is Niclas Hallberg and Stina Pehrsdotter.

Pictures of Nothing is created especially for Formverk art zone.
”One of the ideas represented in these images, is a quiet presence, which we can try to acknowledge and get familiar with.” says Michael Chang. He uses traditional materials in his investigation of the space occupied by the mundane. He is a painter, printmaker and new media artist, based in Copenhagen. The exhibition includes prints created at Crown Point Press in San Francisco, and also paintings, drawings, aquatints, photographs, video and something the artist refers to as alterations.
HEP2009, Human Emotion Project, is a global video project, initiated by Alison Williams, South Africa.
Artists from all around the world are invited to interpret human emotions and inner experiences using moving image. HEP2009 invites curators from different parts of the world to make their selection of the material to be shown in different venues.
Formverk art zone choose to present a month long exhibition as a big wall projection, with selected works in a loop 40 minutes. HEP2009 has been screened at a large number of events, festivals and museums in Europe, and will continue to be spread with planned shows in China, Iran, Georgia, USA, Turkey and Canada.
