Hockney has done some good work - maybe not always, but he's really very good - he had an exhibition of his early work (mostly from the 1960's) here in Nottingham recently, which was quite a revelation.
I thought your Souvenir watercolour had some similarities - some of his work was quite dark - and your tall thin houses are perhaps a little like his Grimm etchings, which I always liked.
