"My creations can broadly be deemed as psychedelic; psyche, meaning soul, and delos, meaning manifest. When titling this site, to further encode my intentions, I traded the word Soul (source of being) for Sol (sun). Through this I am eluding to Plato’s allegory of the cave, in which the sun is a metaphor for ultimate reality. The double indication of the word, is a tip of my hat to the long running heritage of monist philosophy in the Eastern, Middle Eastern, and Western traditions.

Philosophy as my point of departure; I roam into the arts, poetry, and music, to creatively express otherwise intangible concepts. My influences range from Huichol yarn paintings and medieval alchemical engravings to poster art and computer generated fractals. There is no period of human history which escapes my interest. For, in all times and across all cultures, can be seen the propensity toward transcendent thought and the colorful culture inspired by inner visions."

Very interesting idea of the relationship of soul to the sun... In Kashmir Shaivism the symbolic meaning of the sun is actually God consciousness.
