a painter based in Nottingham. I am also a full-time academic at the University of Nottingham, where I research issues concerning educational and social theory.

About my artwork

Edward’s oil paintings represent an interest in portraiture and the figure in modern spaces, often drawing upon photographic research. He is particularly interested in the relationship between human activity, the language and symbols used to mediate the world in which we live and the impact this has upon identity.
