Now this is pretty interesting. I never thought about this too much, but i figured I'd google what neologism is all about, and then i googled missvocation, low and behold David Howard came up. Congratulations! Fame comes in…
hi Mike,
you made a comment in 2009 about a ceramic mosaic piece I made which made me think of flying over Chicago. You suggested I try contacting airports for similar works. I still have to get in touch with the Chicago airport with my idea.…
If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Drawing, Installation, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Video
I am...
teaching art for VSA arts of Nevada and the Sierra Arts Foundation. I'm a painter and ceramicist. I like to do a number of things including oils, acrylics, mosaics, oil and chalk pastels.
About my artwork
It takes a variety of forms and subject matter. Sometimes I'll work more realistically and sometimes totally abstract. Sometimes there's a concept behind it and sometimes it is experimental.
It is basically whatever I'm in the mood for doing.
Artists I like
I've always admired Cezanne, Marc Chagall, Matisse, and Edward Hopper.
Interests
I'm an outdoor enthusiast especially when it comes to skiing and kayaking.
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
Ann Miller at the STudio ARtist's Gallery in Woodland, California. Beautiful photography.
Cindy - that aerial map is very much how I saw it - although in my case I saw Stanstead rather than O'Hare. You should Google Map and then contact O'Hare. Tell them "go mural" and make it big and flashy and very expensive. This is a great idea and could be the kind of one liner that makes a career. How many airports are there in the world? Enough to keep you busy for a lifetime I suspect.
Enjoyed the pics of Sea Anemone Garden and the Effects of Global Warming. Most impressive. Tell me - are the pots important as individual artworks in their own right or only as part of the totality of the Garden? Social systems, the shape of the world may depend upon your answer!
Nice work. Congratulations!

Wow Cindy -
You are one busy woman. I wish I had that kind of motivation. It is going to be hot down here today - I wish I could go to the lake for a swim - but unfortunately I have to work. At least, I have been busy earning some money.
