If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Photography
I am...
working on lots of things, every time I pick up a camera, it's an adventure,
and when IT happens, it's magic
About my artwork
my images are like stepping stones, each only represents where I was at the time, and hopefully in the making of each, I learned, or was able to take another step towards where I was going, which, frankly, is an evolving journey and the destination seems to always getting further away, and I will only know where or what I am looking for when I find it,
but it is a fascinating, difficult, demanding, maddening, frustrating, occasionally totally rewarding journey, and I would not trade it for anything
The creative drive, and the will, determination, practice and pursuit of more and better, is what distinguishes us from the "average", and also is a form of madness, but one that if you are afflicted with, you are indeed fortunate.
Artists I like
Maxfield Parrish, Rembrandt, W. Eugene Smith, Robert Capa,Ansel Adams,Georgia O'Keeffe, Alfred Stieglitz, Larry Burrows, many Chinese painters, I am very much into representational images, I interned all through high school at a metro newspaper that put out 2 editions a day, I ran the photo lab, and in that setting, the goal was to produce images that got something across, conveyed a story even at a glance, but I find myself more and more pursuing simpler more elemental things....and nuances,
we change and evolve, and hopefully begin to understand the nature of things
Interests
the nature of things, making progress, and having a good time and learning in the process, it's the journey...
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
I have no idea, my main source of exposure to other's work is this site, and the people I know locally who are making things, in a variety of media

i can't agree more. i guess we gotta find a way to make our surroundings interesting and look at em from another perspective, then that sort of weird feeling that the new places or whatever we're not used to give us might come, the fascination... Good luck and Good day
Well, I've not been here for some time because I've been BUSY! Yes. The latest on the Fringe Front is that we have launched a twitter feed @thetruepattern which you should follow if you're interested in what unfolds with that whole affair. I don't run it, I just supply some of the info to the tweet master. In addition, we have a myspace page which is serving as a…See More
