- I'm a NZ artist/film-maker. I worked in science, microbiology, for 10 years in NZ, then later moved to Ireland and went to art college for 6! I have lived in Ireland for 15 years.
My work is project based but revolves around art/ecology/personal actions in relation to global ecological issues.

I have worked with a number of scientists since doing my MA, but have returned to work with environmentalists, particularly foresters, helping to promote continuous cover forestry in Ireland, which lost its tree cover centuries ago, in recent years and producing small films along the way.
My work has involved collecting the voices and images of both foresters and people in local communities who are involved in these positive planting projects, that not only improve local economies & local biodiversity but are a step to think of global solutions to climate change.

Hi all
I finally wrote an article on the first International Culture|Futures Conference on Culture and Climate Change which I attended in Copenhagen in Dec 09.
As I was one of the few there from Ireland I have written it for the Irish perspective and will distribute it in Ireland- but it gives an overview of the main points that are relevant to all working in the arts in all art forms.
