Artspeak: I touched on your blog briefly (I'm busy trying to write about blurring my own lines just now....). Loved it. Sometimes I read promos and reviews and say to myself, yes, I recognise all the words, they are all english, but I don't know what they mean! As a poor artist, where self promotion is now as much a part (or more?) of everyday life as creating the work, I find myself spending more and more time emulating artspeak. I hate talking about my work, even in plain english. One day, perhaps others will do all the talking. In the meantime I'll continue to explore the limits, redefine the boundaries, push the envelope... Good luck with the October show, Phil
Anyone interested in upcoming Brooklyn shows, please go ahead and e-mail me at Catweaver@nyc.rr.com and I'll take a look at your pix online and get back to you.
Hi Catherine.
Would you like to come to an internet show October 11-12 via the internet (pls) ?
I would be most happy if you popped in and looked around.
'No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn' - by you know who.
Thanks for being there,
Ralph
Curating a show in mid October: will be looking for artists who effect and/or have been effected by Brooklyn. What does the 111 year history of the most colorful borough in the city mean to you? Let me know if you've got what it takes to be a part of it!
