If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Digital, Drawing, Painting, Video
I am...
...a visual and graphics artist working with archetypal, visionary, Palaeolithic, petroglyphic and archaeological themes in vibrant style which has been described as reminiscent of both Keith Haring and Aboriginal Art...
...enjoying the blissful experience of being alive and in love and with eyes to see the world...
About my artwork
My work seeks to explore the very deepest essences and experiences of what it means to be alive as a human being, from the organic realities of our bodies to the often discomforting archetypal and visionary remembrances that act as a fundament to our lives.

I also aim to bring the very ancient into the modern field of experience, variously inviting or challenging the viewer to look underneath the contextual aspects of contemporary art and modern experience to view the universalities and disquieting visionary sensations common to all human cultures past and present, and which we have inherited from our ancestors.

I aim primarily to speak to those parts of us which operate largely without words – magic, the Palaeolithic and non-rational modes of experience feature strongly – and abstract commentaries or critical positions are abandoned in favour of a direct communion of innerscapes of the human. In this regard, a common reaction to my work is 'I have no idea what it is but I can't stop looking at it'.

I welcome the wordless experiential sensation over the worded debate, and value practices which explore embodied cognition and re-perception.

Come and see, and look within. What will you find?
Artists I like
Keith Haring, Alec Pearson, generations upon generations of unknown Palaeolithic artists who have bequeathed their work to us on rock and bone, Alex Grey, Laurence Caruana
Interests
Magic, mythology, music, mathematics and other things beginning with M, like Minoans...
Centre of the artworld:
New York, London, Beijing, my studio, online, nowhere and everywhere

You did Astrophysics! And you end up doing art?! I first did engineering, then later went to Margaret St. (I didn't do art at school, but...)
A good friend of mine did astrophysics and went on to work for the MET office.
Do you work in that area of science?
Best wishes

Beautiful works Bruce !
Every success for your opening today at the Leeds College of Art.
I'd like to send you an article from Flash Art, Art magazin published
by GeanCarlo Politti in Italy in the 80's. Very intriguing , because It concentrates on the fact that how two young artists living, geographilly speaking, so far apart from one another, one in German - A.R.PENCK, and Keith Haring in NY, and yet their primitivelike works archetypally were intercrossed, in spite of the fact that none of them knew each other, neither what they were producing separetely.
I can save a file and send the article for you, that is, if you'd like to.

Very nice perception Bruce. Tha's exactly what people these days don't pay much attention to in their everyday lives.
I live in Sao Paulo Brazil, but I've had a short stop in Leeds on my way up to York.
