With our apologies, the ArtReview team
With the US recession seeming more and more likely, people are turning to art as a secure investment and as a hedge against inflation due to the very low correlation between the art market and more mainstream investment markets like the stock market. Even in a down market, prices hold-up better for fine art, better than any type of object. The best way to make a killing investing in art is to pick the next big thing before everyone else does. I agree with you about finding emerging artists.
Find me.
I am an emerging artist who is founding a branch of Post Conceptual Art, as you can discover in "The Manifesto of Post Conceptual UnGraven Image Art -- A Painting's Meaning is Inherent in its Strokes" booklet.
The manifesto is available as a free PDF download at the Post Conceptual UnGraven Image Web site as I am encouraging other artists to paint using symbols for strokes, too.
The theory that I am founding is at once secular, science-based and religious and spiritual. It seems to be the first religious theory of art founded in the USA. Being American it is uniquely inclusive as the symbol-strokes are biinary and thus reference concepts of duality held by most of the world's religions.
I have been a journalist and use those skills now in service of my work and making myself known in the art world. I have a weekly blog, which includes good reviews of shows, fairs, theory, articles for collectors, and, of course mentions of ArtReview.
Discover me. See for yourself.
Thanks,
Judy Rey Wasserman
