I am...: I am a displaced Canadian who spirited myself away years ago to discover and experience the world - travelled for many - and finally settled in London as a good enough approximation of being at the 'center of the universe'...
I work in broadcast media for a daily live arts programme and belong to an artists group 'Creekside Artists' in SE London, Deptford - where we share a large warehouse space between 18+ artists of different disciplines.

Artists I like: Paul Coombs, Max Beckman, Francis Bacon, Lucien Freud, Van Gogh, Cy Twombly, Rothko, Kandinsky, Louise Bourgeois, Group of Seven, Norval Morriseau, Grayson Perry, Sam Taylor Wood, Rebecca Horn, Tessa Farmer... it changes constantly...

Interests: Science, Biology, Nature and the interconnection between all 3...

What exhibitions are good at the moment?: Rothko at the Tate Modern; Indian Highway at the Serpentine - a great representation of modern artists working in India today.

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

Entry Deadline March 15th 2009.

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.
