About my artwork
My recent work is concerned with the medium of painting and the handling of materials, in a reductive minimalist way. I usually use found used and simple materials such as cardboard, card paper, plastic, wood. My work relates to the the everyday urban enviroment in which I live. I believe there is beauty in the everyday materials which we throw away.
Artists I like
Manfred Pernice, Günther Uecker, Richard Diebenkorn, Dan Peterman, Louise Lawler, Günther Förg, Howard Hodgkins and many others.

Well i am just aware, of the fragility of the works with food packaging boxes they can be easily marked or dinted. . I remember peeling some card away from one of my works,, and it came away so easy with a tool.
i remember working on one small piece, after building it up,,,,, i just kept pulling it apart till their was nothing left.
maybe i was testing its strength, its vulnerability,,,,,the test of time.
Wonderful work Ann,
it is so difficult to reduce the process to the minimun form and colour, you have solved the complex problem of simplification
John
