I am...
...a multimedia artist, artist in residence at the Open Gallery and independant curator. Co-director and curator at Vitrine Gallery, London.
About my artwork
Investigating the convergence of performance, the object, text and image, my work draws from (auto)biographical references with particular concern for the relationship of architecture on the narratives that arise from this. Exploring the poetic qualities of the places we inhabit, I construct dialogue from my past and present encounters with these surroundings.
I work site-responsively, producing installation, sculpture, video and works on paper all using experimental methods of montage and focusing on the bluring boundary between artistic disciplines.
Artists I like
Claire Barclay, Eva Hesse, Sophie Calle, Rachel Whiteread, Pippilotti Rist, Louise Bourgeois, Peter Greenaway, Matthew Barney, Maya Deren, Christian Boltanski, Joseph Beuys, Bill Viola, Samantha Donnelly, Lucy Skaer, Andre Breton, Italo Calvino, Francesco Borromini.
