Hi Ali, it is great to see your images. Just clambering out of the last bit of the valley right now (the emendations) and artreview is proving a great distraction. Its cool in Sydney right now, amazingly. Keep in touch, I hope to be back in the world soon. Marg

Hi Ali, thanks very much for your kind words - I'm glad you enjoyed the arches. With regard to 'clarity of intention' the funny thing is that I'm rarely very clear about what will happen in any given piece, but there is always an underlying intention with regard to letting the materials 'unfold' themselves in some way.

The installation took place at a former church in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire last September, and was up for about 3 weeks. Here's a link to their website if you're interested... http://www.slumgothic.co.uk/

Just been having a look around your own site - you're no slouch yourself in the sculpture dept! I particularly liked the inner-tube lillies and the grass 'crosses' - there are some interesting tensions in both of those sets of works.

Nice to meet you - do keep in touch, it would be good to work together at some point if you have an appropriate curatorial venture - true it's a long way to ship stuff, but I think there could be some interesting mileage in some 'remote' work of this kind...

All the best,

Michael

Hi Ali,
nice remark about the nature and technology relationship. For me they have been always connected in the way they each grow, evolve and morph into the next.
One great book I can recommend is Kevin Kelly 'Out of Control'- if you're interested!
best,
Daan

The Problem of Health Care

At last! A layman's guide to the Government's healthcare reforms, explaining them in terms so simple they might have been written by a complete idiot, and charting the development of health care from the good old days to the present and beyond - with hilarious results! In fabulous stickman-o-vision, with bits of colour.…See More
