If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Drawing, Installation, Photography, Sculpture
I am...
I was born 1955 in the town of Bakkum/Castricum, the Netherlands and started expressing myself in sculpting and drawings at the age of 12.
After secondary school I followed the School of Horticulture to become à Landscape architect.
My early inspiration by nature is one of the main influences for my today's research of new harmonies.
Ikebana has been an inspiration for my today's simple lines drawings.
I moved to France in 1985 where I realised numerous sculptures, assemblies, installations, drawings and wall paintings but also photographies.
I made/make part of artists movements in Paris, New-York and Berlin and rallied for a better integration of Artists and Art in today's society
through participation in various artists projects.
From 1997 to October 2008 I lived in the French region of Poitou-Charentes where a large variety of limestones
determined my preference to work in stone and alabaster The works talk about tactility in often multiple - positions with 360º views.
I also worked in projects with several schools. In October 2008 I moved to Germany - Schleswig-Holstein .
My drawings are presented in separate or combined exhibitions with my sculptures.
I often showed my works in unexpected places to bring my works to the people. I only recently started to work with galleries and Art dealers.
Many of my works entered in private collections worldwide.
