hey everyone,

exhibition of the ECVP in Sao Paulo is gonna take place 11-22 of August. the opening will be on august 11, 6-9pm. if any of you is here... do come!

not only we will be showing all 9 videos of the first volume in looping during these days, but we will also show 18 enlarged stills taken from the videos.

it's gonna be awesome!

Congratulations Kika on launching another successful exhibit of vol. 1, as well as including the photos this time. Saw your tweet saying that it all looked good.

BTW, just got a note from Artists' Television Access in San Francisco saying that Vol. 1 is too long to show at their October Film Festival, BUT, instead, they do want to show it in its entirety as part of their programming schedule. So, we'll finally have a proper screening in the city. I will cc you on all e-mail exchanges going forward, so you can help coordinate date. I again suggest that we do a multi-party Q&A with the audience and various participating artists via Skype following the show, if this is possible. We might also consider screening Vol II here, as well, or submit it elsewhere first.

And we work right now with the show of vol.2 here in Sweden Sept. 11-13 at V.art09. The art fair-directors are very exited about the whole thing.

hey brad,

thanks for your effort! I read the emails and I just sent you a reply.

the opening yesterday went really well! all the pictures look amazing enlarged, really good. we had about 60 people I think, it's hard to say because it happened during 3 hours, so people would come and go. the gallery is very small, but inside what we call a "vila", I mean, it share a sort of a patio with other little stores. so it has a very pleasant atmosphere.

we printed a shortened version of the Juliana Monachesi's essay about the ECVP, and it was put on an outside wall. that was very useful because she explains a bit of our creative process, so people would watch the videos already understanding how they work. but also they asked me a lot of questions regarding our process, so I guess they were really engaged by the whole thing.

we also had a book for signing and comments, I am curious to read it, I didn't do it yesterday.

even though we didn't have chairs inside the gallery (the space is really limited), the audience was very curious about the videos and most of them watched the videos for a long time. some of them for the whole looping! 82 minutes standing, that is not easy.... I had a few "spies" in the crowd, like my husband, who said he only heard great comments.

We also had an article about us in one of the top Brazilian weekly magazines, I am going to scan and post it here and on facebook. I know the person who writes the art column and she got interested in the project. it is not easy to get spaces like this in press here, Sao Paulo is quite like NY or London, so many things happen at the same time. much bigger exhibitions opened this week, by the way only today I have 4 friends opening their exhibitions, so I was very happy we got this.

all in all, I feel like I closed a chapter with this exhibition. of course we will still show the ECVP vol.1 more times, but now I will focus my energy in exposing the volume 2. But I have to say, I am very busy, I have my own exhibitions and other jobs already booked from now until the end of next year! so I will really need your help in disseminating and getting venues for volume 2.

also I think all facebook users have noticed that I stopped being online for chatting. I am very sorry about it, be sure that I am using all my will on doing this, because I love chatting with all of you... but I just can't now, I am really overwhelmed.
