Let's begin the second volume of our beloved Exquisite Corpse Video Project?
Please read carefully the rules below. We have a few changes.
And pick your threads! The sooner the better, so everyone will get their desired themes.
Cheers,
Kika
RULES FOR ECVP vol. 2
1. The ECVP vol. 2 will consist in 12 thematic threads. We will start them simultaneously.
2. This is an invitation-only project. However, if an artist wants to participate, please write kika@dilemastudio.com with samples of his/her work.
3. All previous ECVP participants are automatically invited to make this new volume.
4. The project coordinator, trying to accommodate every artist’s requirements, will decide the line of artists of each thread.
5. Each artist should choose up to 3 thematic threads to participate.
6. Each thread will have 5 participating artists.
7. The genre is open to any experimental one - video art, experimental animation, video performance, video dance, video essay, video poetry etc.
8. Each participant is required to make a 1 to 2 minutes video based on the excerpt he/she receives from the previous artist.
9. Each artist sends the last 10 to 20 seconds of his piece to the next artist.
10. Each artist has up to 2 weeks to work on his piece.
11. Ideally, the received excerpts should be seamlessly integrated into the artists’ pieces, so transitions from one piece to the next would be fluid.
12. The artists should make their pieces inspired both on the theme and on the excerpt he/she receives from the previous artist.
13. All videos excerpts used on the project must be original material shot and edited by the participating artists. It is suggested that the artists don’t use sound & image copyrighted material.
14. All participating artists must be or become artreview members, and join the Video Artists group.
15. Once finished with his/her piece, the participant must send it to the project coordinator by email (kika@dilemastudio.com), who will forward the last seconds to the next artist on the line.
16. The participants are required to send 2 video files: one Quicktime (.mov) NTSC using codec H264 or DV, and one Quicktime (.mov) PAL using codec H264 or DV. If needed, ask the project coordinator for instructions.
17. The files sharing must be done through www.filecentral.se, www.yousendit.com or www.pando.com. Through those websites, you can easily send large files. The sign up is free.
18. The project coordinator has the responsibility of editing all 12 threads, stitching together all participants’ pieces.
19. Everyone is encouraged to take part on the forums both at www.artreview/groups/videoartists and http://exquisitecorpsevideoproject.ning.com . Please let’s make an effort to keep the dialogs on a friendly and generous tone. You’re welcome to also collaborate on our multiple efforts to screen, exhibit and spread the project and its videos.
20. The resulting video is propriety of all participating artists and may be exhibited by any of them, but always with credits for all the artists. All artists must be notified about each screening and/or exhibition.

thanks, ronee! too bad we didn't meet again in london, but to be honest it was very rushy and I had to focus on showing my mother a good time! hehe so we did a lot of the touristic stuff....
but next time I hope to stay longer and get to hang out with you and my other londoner friends more.
xoxo
Nice, Kika! Effective– the more I watch the teaser, the hungrier I am for the whole show. (Cool title, Mads).
And I agree with you about the 12-6-50 ... "freaking amazing!!!! " Gratitude and congratulations to everyone. I'm happy to be a part of this.

hey friends, we're almost there!!! 12 new videos in 6 months, and about 50 collaborators, I think that is freaking amazing!!!!
I made a teaser trailer that was showed at the screening in Berlin.
I am finishing the ECVP2 and I need your credits! of course not your names, that I know, but if you have collaborators or people you wanna acknowledge, please let me know NOW!!
So far, I have the credits of the following artists: Joas, Danny, Kit, Giada, Jan and Ronee.
Everyone else, please send the credits (if any) to my email.
Project collaborator, Jan Kather, has added a new discussion to the forum on the ECVP Ning network, where she has made brief comments on all twelve threads of Volume Two. Her commentary is admittedly incomplete, and not intended to be definitive. It is a personal analysis and review provided by a capable critic with a creative eye and an open mind, based on limited viewings of a long and complex sequence of videos.
In doing this, she has, as I see it, set the stage for a robust, open discussion of the recently completed volume. Please consider reading her commentary, and perhaps replying with questions and comments of your own.
Thank you for your time and thoughtful contributions.
