Let's begin the second volume of our beloved Exquisite Corpse Video Project?
Please read carefully the rules below. We have a few changes.
And pick your threads! The sooner the better, so everyone will get their desired themes.
Cheers,
Kika
RULES FOR ECVP vol. 2
1. The ECVP vol. 2 will consist in 12 thematic threads. We will start them simultaneously.
2. This is an invitation-only project. However, if an artist wants to participate, please write kika@dilemastudio.com with samples of his/her work.
3. All previous ECVP participants are automatically invited to make this new volume.
4. The project coordinator, trying to accommodate every artist’s requirements, will decide the line of artists of each thread.
5. Each artist should choose up to 3 thematic threads to participate.
6. Each thread will have 5 participating artists.
7. The genre is open to any experimental one - video art, experimental animation, video performance, video dance, video essay, video poetry etc.
8. Each participant is required to make a 1 to 2 minutes video based on the excerpt he/she receives from the previous artist.
9. Each artist sends the last 10 to 20 seconds of his piece to the next artist.
10. Each artist has up to 2 weeks to work on his piece.
11. Ideally, the received excerpts should be seamlessly integrated into the artists’ pieces, so transitions from one piece to the next would be fluid.
12. The artists should make their pieces inspired both on the theme and on the excerpt he/she receives from the previous artist.
13. All videos excerpts used on the project must be original material shot and edited by the participating artists. It is suggested that the artists don’t use sound & image copyrighted material.
14. All participating artists must be or become artreview members, and join the Video Artists group.
15. Once finished with his/her piece, the participant must send it to the project coordinator by email (kika@dilemastudio.com), who will forward the last seconds to the next artist on the line.
16. The participants are required to send 2 video files: one Quicktime (.mov) NTSC using codec H264 or DV, and one Quicktime (.mov) PAL using codec H264 or DV. If needed, ask the project coordinator for instructions.
17. The files sharing must be done through www.filecentral.se, www.yousendit.com or www.pando.com. Through those websites, you can easily send large files. The sign up is free.
18. The project coordinator has the responsibility of editing all 12 threads, stitching together all participants’ pieces.
19. Everyone is encouraged to take part on the forums both at www.artreview/groups/videoartists and http://exquisitecorpsevideoproject.ning.com . Please let’s make an effort to keep the dialogs on a friendly and generous tone. You’re welcome to also collaborate on our multiple efforts to screen, exhibit and spread the project and its videos.
20. The resulting video is propriety of all participating artists and may be exhibited by any of them, but always with credits for all the artists. All artists must be notified about each screening and/or exhibition.

And below you can watch the Exquisite Corpse Video Project vol. 1:
WOW!
This teaser is awsome and i think it´s look like there will be a great volume.
Mads, very nice intro i like.
Still in Serbia and the last day at the workshop.
I have worked with video with the younsters and they have made colaborations with youngsters in sweden.
I use all my experiences and it´s interesting to see what they making this digital art works
hey niclas, by the way, I talked about your project with youngsters to Alexandra Gelis, who is also in the ECVP, because I remember she had a similar project that she did in Panama, and she told me she is also doing it in Toronto. Also Jorge Lozano and Guillermina Buzio (all in the new volume of ECVP, they are from Alucine) I know they have been doing this kind of work (in Toronto, but also Venezuela and Colombia, I think). I just think it's really interesting all this initiatives, maybe one day we could put everything together, maybe make this part of the collective, like a world collective using video as a way to develop the creative expression of youngsters worldwide!
oh here I am having wild thoughts! haha
much love, kika
