Is cryonics a science-fiction?

Is cryonics, you know freezing the humans for some time in ice then unfreezing them in the future, a science-fiction?

This is a little bit off topic (not exactly Space Art), but see what Caren Carr has to say about: "Is painting digitally different than painting traditionally?" See what she does:

Jurassic (c) 2000

PS I simply love prehistoric art, for it's very close to my sci-fi/fantasy time travel genre ;-)))

This is for you, the photorealists, who "suffer" the perfectionism to the last piece of hair:

Or see more at Chris Scal'f Website.

Hi, all! If you want to learn computer art with test-software, take a look at this:

"Create an environment image using your application of choice, in combination of any version of Vue (Easel, Esprit, Pro Studio, Infinite or xStream), including the free Personal Learning Edition." Godspeed!

Hi, space artists, if you would like to create your own galaxy and use its pictures -- whether for inspiration or photo manipulation - here is your very own universe in the making: www.galaxiki.org

PS If you don't have Photoshop CSE but still would like to do some digital art, try Photoshop Elements 5 ($50). I've tested these tutorials on it and they are easily achievable there with some minor limitations. Here's what I did with it last year, having zero knowledge about this software:

You know I'm a traditional space artist, but in 2007 I was asked to make a digital painting for a book cover, so I had to learn the software within a week, or the deal was off. To my amazement, I was done for 2 days! That's how I found these tutorials for myself.

Well, if you can't afford to buy even Photoshop Elements, then try Dogwaffle freeware. It is very similar and I've tried these tutorials there as well. Its Pro version can do also animation with magnificent clouds/nebulae, pierced with starlight. You could use its still pictures as stunning "cover art" or just as "digital printouts" for calendars, etc.

Lastly, there's an online version of Photoshop 6, located at www.splashup.com, which allows yo to save paintings straight to your computer.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

How to "Create a Space Scene in Photoshp." This is Part 6 (all episodes will appear as you click on the video to go to YouTube), but I'm placing it here first so that you know what's the target of this exercise:

How to create an exploding planet in Photoshop (or Painter X and similar software). This is very valuable info for cover art illustrators:
